BUY LOCAL SAVE LOCAL™ believes in the power of supporting local businesses, offering diverse products and services to their neighbours. 

Together we strengthen our economy and improve our communities to make them a better place to live, work and play. Together we build local communities thriving in relationships, common goals, social activities and ecological health. Please support this initiative by listing your business offering a discount to cardholders or through buying a discount card and visiting participating businesses as often as possible!

BUY LOCAL SAVE LOCAL ™ was founded in 2009, as an initiative of residents and business owners who live and work in Nova Scotia. We take care of our local economy, which we believe is one of our most important resources.

BUY LOCAL SAVE LOCAL ™ is politically independent. We believe that local communities benefit everyone, regardless of political or religious views or social status. We want to co-operate with local authorities, initiatives, networks and organisations. We seek a constructive dialogue with all parties.

BUY LOCAL SAVE LOCAL ™ sees a growing need to strengthen the local economy, thereby keeping people, jobs and investments in our local area and seeks to encourage everyone to participate in strengthening their local community.

BUY LOCAL SAVE LOCAL ™ encourages all residents and visitors to take better care of our beautiful nature in Nova Scotia - by supporting locally owned and operated businesses, doing business where they live, therefore driving less and reducing our carbon-footprint in this way.

BUY LOCAL SAVE LOCAL ™ supports local shoppers and local businesses and contributes to charities and social events.

BUY LOCAL SAVE LOCAL ™ has started as a province wide movement in Nova Scotia, and aims to grow into other provinces all across Canada, bringing people together and offering even more benefits to our members when travelling. We are very grateful to cooperate with other locally focussed groups.

We envision BUY LOCAL SAVE LOCAL ™ becoming a powerful resource for local businesses and their customers to build a strong economy and strong relationships right around them.

We envision hundreds of local businesses serving thousands of shoppers, working and meeting together, strengthening one another and promoting to BUY LOCAL. We envision this website filled with resources on valuable information about green living, local produce and businesses, resources for business owners, as well as for families and charities and more.
